St. Antony’s Catholic College recognises the importance of creating and maintaining links with the local and extended community and we work hard in this area. We have excellent links with all our feeder primary schools and have further welcomed into our community other local primary schools, who have joined us on our Enterprise Days and for certain sporting occasions, supported by the work of the School Sports Coordinator.
As a Catholic College, we hold our faith and the profession of our faith as paramount to our success and are delighted to be linked with our local parishes, in both formal and informal ways. We celebrate several Masses each year at the local church, St. Hugh of Lincoln RC Church, where many of our young people are altar servers. We also embrace worship at other local parishes, where some of our students also serve on the altar.
Our young people are very generous and have raised substantial sums over the years to support the work of numerous local charities, including the St. Joseph’s Penny Appeal for Salford Diocese, the Rainbow Trust, which supports St. Ann’s Hospice in Didsbury, Cornerstone, a charity to help the homeless and for who we provide the Christmas turkeys each year and our own Romania Project which raises money for our own students to take resources to schools in Sibiu, Romania on an annual basis.
