UPDATE 29.09.2025: Metroline have now informed us that they intend to operate the 786 both am and pm tomorrow, Tuesday 30th September.
Please see below a message from Transport for Greater Manchester which may affect your child:
You may have seen recent coverage of further industrial action of Bee Network bus operators in your area due to take place on Tuesday 30th September, Wednesday 1st October and Thursday 2nd October 2025
Based on our current information, there will a mix of services which transport pupils to and from St Antony’s that will be operating as normal, however others are likely to be impacted by the strike action, so pupils will need to find an alternative way to get to school. Below is a list of services to communicate to pupils, parents/carers and any staff affected.
Bus services expected to operate as normal:
| 785 | Hulme – St Antony’s Catholic College |
Bus services which are not expected to operate
| 786 | Flixton – Woodsend – St Antony’s Roman Catholic School |
This information is as up to date as possible, however we do strongly advise that for updates on all affected bus services (including schools) that you direct parents/carers, pupils and staff to TfGM’s dedicated webpage www.beenetwork.com/bus-industrial-action
At St Antony’s, we value an open and honest relationship between home and school. If you are struggling to get your child into school due to the disruption, please contact us so that we can support you. Please do not report your child as ill if the absence is transport-related, it is important that we work together to record attendance accurately.
