Headteacher’s Welcome

On behalf of the students, staff and governors I am delighted to welcome you to St Antony’s Roman Catholic School. St Antony’s is a vibrant, progressive and over subscribed 11-16 co-educational school, situated in the Borough of Trafford. We are oversubscribed and are now the number one choice for many families in our area. We aim to empower confident young people and leaders of the future. We place a strong emphasis on supporting each individual student to thrive and succeed in their education. I believe that high quality teaching and strong pastoral support are the key to enabling our students to make excellent progress; both are of the highest priority at St Antony’s. We have great expectations for all of our students and we are committed to finding and developing the talents they possess whilst supporting their academic progress and achievements.

We have a strong school community where everyone knows each other. Our teachers work closely with our Heads of Year and Pastoral Team to ensure that every student maximises their potential and is happy during their years with us.

Our Ofsted Parent View results show how positive parents are about St Antony’s. These results are gathered each year by Ofsted and can be viewed on their website. We have a very strong Parent Teacher Association which parents can get actively involved in, and support the school.

As a Catholic school our core values are rooted in the teachings and example of Jesus Christ and the values of the Gospel. Our ethos is one of respect for all and this is evident to anyone who visits our school. We endeavour to live out the Gospel values in our daily life and believe in developing the skills and talents of the whole child by encouraging our pupils to: ASPIRE to their potential, BELIEVE in themselves and ACHIEVE what they deserve.

At St Antony’s, we celebrate diversity throughout the school. We build resilience within our students through a strong PSHE curriculum and ensure that students have a positive approach to their well-being and physical activities.

I hope that you find our prospectus informative. I would particularly encourage you to read our latest Section 48 Inspection Report which I believe captures much of what is positive about our school.

Please also take the opportunity to come and visit us by contacting the School Office to arrange an appointment. I would be delighted to meet you and show you around in person so you can see for yourself why St Antony’s is such a popular choice in the local area.
