Launched in October 2017, Hope in the Future is Bishop John’s pastoral renewal programme for our diocese with the aim to ‘Form Missionary Disciples and Build Missionary Parishes’. It is a five-stage journey where members of our parishes, schools and families are encouraged to discern their gifts and talents and put them at the service of the Church and community, set up shared leadership teams, ensure their liturgies are the best they can be, develop their evangelisation and catechises and be a beacon of hope in their community through social action. Stage 4, which focusses on ‘Proclaiming the Good News’ will be launched in parishes on 3rd October 2021.
