On behalf of the students, staff and governors I am delighted to welcome you to St Antony’s Roman Catholic School.
St Antony’s is a vibrant, progressive, mainstream and over-subscribed 11-16 school, situated in the Borough of Trafford.
Here at St Antony’s we aim to empower confident young people and leaders of the future by supporting each individual student to thrive and succeed in their education. We believe that an ambitious and well-sequenced curriculum, high quality teaching and strong pastoral support are the key ingredients to enabling our students to make excellent progress.
We have very high expectations of all of our students in terms of their attendance, attitude, uniform and academic progress because we are committed to helping all our young people to be on the path to becoming the very best version of themselves.
We have a strong, welcoming, supportive school community where everyone knows each other. All our staff work closely, in partnership with parents and carers, to ensure that all students get the right level of support, at the right time, so they can focus on the most important thing – their learning in lessons.
As a proudly Catholic school how we live our lives is anchored by the teachings and example of Jesus Christ and the values of the Gospel. Our golden rule is respect and this is something our wonderful students demonstrate every day in their interactions with each other and with the adults that are here to support them.
At St Antony’s, we celebrate diversity throughout the school so that every pupil feels they belong to our community. We build resilience within our students through a strong Personal Development curriculum and ensure that students have a positive approach to their wellbeing and physical activities.
I hope that you find our prospectus informative. I would particularly encourage you to read our latest Section 48 Inspection Report (you will find this in the ‘About Us’ section of our website) which I believe captures much of what is positive about our school.
Finally, if you would like to know more about what we do at St Antony’s, please click on the video here or come and visit us by contacting the School Office to arrange an appointment. I would be delighted to meet you and show you around in person so you can see for yourself why St Antony’s is such a popular choice for many families in the local area.
