By studying a GCSE in Business students are equipped with the skills and confidence to explore how different business situations affect decision-making. They develop their understanding of concepts, objectives and terminology, and the impact of contemporary issues on business operations.
Pupils are introduced to business concepts and issues concerning the activities of a business. They explore the influences on a business, before looking at the daily operations of a business. Students then look at the recruitment process and marketing processes in a business and why finance is key to running a successful business.
Pupils undertake regular assessments and learn key exam technique which will be reinforced over the remainder of the course

Golden Threads are the key themes, values and skills that run throughout the curriculum across all year groups. In our school, these threads reflect our Catholic ethos and Catholic Social Teaching, supporting pupils’ academic development while encouraging them to make links between their learning, the wider world and their responsibilities as compassionate and thoughtful citizens.
